He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Leonard and Essie Mae Lowe Leonard; his son Roderick Salter; and his siblings, Robert Leonard, Sr., John T. Leonard and Mozelle Leonard.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Salter (Allison) of Arlington, GA, Michael Salter (Jerrica) of Sacramento, CA and Edward Salter (Georgette) of Blakely, GA; his close friend Viola Salter; and his siblings, Manual Leonard of Blakely, GA, Cora Miller of Palatka, FL, Annie Miller of Newark, NJ, Winifred Foster (Earl) of Stone Mountain, GA, Emma Dennis of Albany, GA and Velma Williams (Jerry) of Miami, FL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
