Merlene English Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlene English of Blakely, Georgia, who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ceaborn Murkerson and Lura Davis Murkerson; her husband Charles Elliot English; and her granddaughter Maggie English. She is survived by: her children, Charlie English (Michelle) of Blakely, Henry English (Kristy) of Blakely and Susan Riley (Dalton) of Blakely; her grandchildren, Shelley English Goocher (Mason) of Blakely and Elliot English of Blakely; her siblings, Joe Murkerson (Harriet) of Bainbridge, Linda Averitt and Brenda Murkerson; and her sister-in-law Janis Kelly (Ed) of Blakely. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blakely First Free Will Baptist Church.
