She was predeceased by: her father Jerry Stokes. She is survived by: her mother Wanda Winslett; her stepfather Mark Winslett; her brother Chris Stokes (Sarah); and her stepsiblings, Terri McFay (Greg), Cindy Coronado, Callie Thompson (Travis) and Mark Winslett Jr.. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southside Baptist Church for the piano fund. Any donations made will be done so in memory of Melissa's passionate love of music.
