With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse James Lamar Sampley of Blakely, Georgia, who passed away on August 21, 2020 at the age of 12. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lucy, Eugene Wilkerson, Andy Oliver and Donald Sampley; his great-grandparents, Vaudine Smith, Anna and Darrell Strickland; and his uncle Greg Wilkerson.

He is survived by: his parents, D. J. Sampley and Brittany Ferguson Sampley; his siblings, Payton and Tabitha; and his grandparents, Phyllis Oliver of Blakely, Jan Strickland, Mike of Edison, GA and Tommy Ferguson of Headland, AL. He is also survived by his numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain safe social distancing and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
