He is survived by: his grandson Chris; his wife Mavis Brookins; his children, Jimmy Brookins (Susan), Rodney Brookins (Brenda), Brian Brookins (Regina) and Starla Ellis (Steve); and his grandchildren, Rodney Brookins, Jr., Brock Brookins, Randall Ellis (Bailey), Kaycee Brookins, Brittany Shellhouse (Josh), Anthony McMullen and Ethan Ellis. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
