He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Sawyer and Roxie Lisenby Sawyer; and his son Fred H. Sawyer, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Stinson Sawyer of Blakely, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Rita Williams (Donald) of Johns Creek, GA, Susan Thomas (Herb) of Albany, GA, Idus Stinson, Jr. (Susan) of Winston Salem, NC and Daniel Stinson (Melissa) of Sharpsburg.
