It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Coach Tommy Whitehurst of Blakely, Georgia, born in Kinston, Alabama, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Whitehurst and Vera Davis Whitehurst. He is survived by: his wife Janice Bowdoin Whitehurst; his daughter Hayden Pickle (Brian); his grandchildren, Austin and Abby; his son Tom Whitehurst (Beth); and his grandchildren, Ty, Will and Rhett. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
