He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Lee and Agnes Adkison; his wife Theresa Dixon Adkison; his son Benjamin Harley Adkison; and his siblings, Othar R. Adkison, Virginia Meredith, Janice Alford, Martha Smith and Barbara Adkison.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sybil Lovering (Ronnie) of Blakely and Laura Adkison of Pensacola; his grandchildren, Zach Adkison (Brittany), Brittni Adkison Johnson (Chuck), Samuel Lovering, Seth Lovering and Abigail Adkison; and his brother Don Adkison (Dianne). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Assembly of God Church.
