He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Peterson; his children, Sharon Peterson Smart (Shelton) of Atlanta and Chris Peterson (Denna); his grandchildren, Spencer Smart, Rebecca Peterson, Jessica Peterson and Cole Peterson; his great grandchild Reagan Roberts; and his sisters, Louise Whitaker of Franklin, NC. and Shirley Chambliss. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
