He is survived by: his wife Sandra Goree; his children, Leslie Leanne Sakow of Arlington, GA and Donald Clay Cooper (Cathy) of Cumming, GA; his grandchildren, Christian Lee Reichard (Kayla) of Arlington, GA, Anna Maria Reichard (Joseph) of Athens, GA, Kyle Cooper of Cumming, GA and Ryan Cooper of Cumming, GA; his sisters, Judy Cooper of Blakely, GA. and Patricia Taliaferro of Blakely, GA.; his close friends, Jessica and Aaron Reichard; and his sister-in-law Erlene White.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blakely First Assembly of God Church (397 College St, Blakely, GA 39823). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
