He was predeceased by: his wife Irma Matthews Mason; his parents, Jewell G. Mason and Myrtle Everett Mason; his uncles, Harlan Mason and Bill Mason; and his aunt Donnie Young.
He is survived by: his children, Anita Michelle Mason Stewart (Edward) and Michael Worth Mason (Colleen); his sister Barbara Mason Poole; his niece Stephanie Poole; and his grandchildren, Emma and Jewell Mason.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Blairsville (41 Hunt Martin St, Blairsville, GA 30512). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Providence United Methodist Church (3075 Pat Colwell Rd, Blairsville, GA 30512). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery (4470 Pat Colwell Rd, Blairsville, GA 30512).
