He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulric W. Spiva and Mary Lawanda Reece Spiva; his wife Wendy Methfessel Spiva; and his sisters, Deborah Glazner of Blue Ridge and Peggy (Chuck Patrick).
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Jeff Evans of Hiram, GA.; his sons, Geoffrey Spiva of Chickamauga, GA. and Shawn Spiva of Murphy, NC.; his brothers, James (Rita Spiva), Jerry (Deborah Spiva) and Ulric (Sharon Spiva); his grandchildren, Stone Spiva, Alexandra Wilkinson, Andrea Evans, Lillian Garner, Maya Spiva, Jude Spiva, Salem Spiva and Georgia Spiva; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Declyn and Vera.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel (78a Butternut Crossing, Blairsville, GA 30512).
