She was born in Perry, FL. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryon Freeman (Bry) and Edith Freeman (Roberts); her husband Jerry Pope Poppell; her son Brent Alan Poppell; and her brothers, Judson Freeman (Idana) and Jerome Freeman (Myrna).
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Poppell of Blairsville, GA and Gary Poppell of Wasilla, AK.; her grandchildren, Craig Cunningham (Janell), Megan Connor (Jon), Jeffrey and Kevin Poppell and Allison Hickey (Joey); her great grandchildren, Brent and Tyler Cunningham, Mollie and Gabe Connor; and her siblings, Gwen Freeman and Billy Freeman (Debbie).
