We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2021, at the age of 84, Vaunda Scudder Gibson (Blairsville, Georgia), born in Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Dwight Scudder and Gladys Gary Scudder; her husband Earl Foster Gibson; and her grandson Jimmy Lee Thompson. She is survived by: her daughter Susan; her son-in-law Fred Comer of Blairsville; her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Ellen Gibson of Jacksonville, FL.; her sister Elaine Poindexter of Midland, MI.; and her grandchildren, Bobby Ray Thompson, Steve Gibson Jr., Jessica Danielle Gibson and Jacqueline Carlson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, her church family, many other relatives and friends.
Flowers are being accepted or if you wish the family requests that donations be made to the Union County Humane Society's Mountain Shelter in Vaunda's memory.
