She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wages and Runette Wages; her former husband George Edward Newsome; and her husband James L. Summey. She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Adams (Edward) and Sharon Jordan; her granddaughters, Angela Puleo and Andrea Skipworth (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Silas Puleo, Grant Puleo, Harper Hoppenworth and Emerson Hoppenworth; and her sister Carolyn Farmer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Society in memory of Shirley.
