She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Carroll and Mary Gordon Carroll; her husband David Hickerson of Blairsville, GA; her children, Scott Grothe (Ashley) of Florida, Kent Grothe (Kirsten) of Atlanta, GA, Nikki DeBole (Tom) of Phoenix, AZ and Jami Shams (Kevin) of San Jose, CA; her siblings, Tom Carroll of Connecticut and Nancy Carroll of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Ben, Christopher, Sydney, Leyton, Lauren, Andrew, Grace and Jack.
