He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melwin Newsom and Violet Newsom; his wife Maria Newsom of Blairsville; his son Ronald Newsom Jr.; his stepchildren, Pam (Jamey Odonnell) and David (Jeannine Chancey); his brothers, Jimmy (Diane Newsom), Bucky Newsom of Las Vegas and Butch (Mariah Newsom); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Shay, Hunter, Michael and Kalin; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Marissa, Max and Julianna. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
