It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Marie Hammond of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Klingenberger and Helen Klingenberger (Warren); her children, Kristi (Tom Washburn), Kim (Gilbert Gonzalez), Kevin (Allison Hammond) and Kip; her husband Jerry Hammond of Blairsville; her son Jerry Hammond (Kip) of Charlotte, NC; her sister Ann; and her brother-in-law Norm Clack of Raleigh, NC.. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
