He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Burgess and Ruth Burgess (Callison); and his brother Randall Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Burgess (Hoppe); his children, Lindsey Rose (Aaron), Michael Burgess and Reghan (Ahmed Zango); his brothers, Robert and William Burgess; and his grandchildren, Anna, Alex, Ella Rose and Greycat.
