He was predeceased by: his parents, William Daniel "Dan" Dover and Leola Pierce Dover. He is survived by: his sister Nedra Dover Cheeks; and his nieces, Betty (Gary Rogers) and Sandra Watson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1008 Town Creek School Road, Blairsville, GA 30512.
