She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Queen and Mintie Mahaffey Queen; her husband Lonnie Harrison Kirkland; her son William Harrison Kirkland; and her siblings, Opal Queen and Clifton Queen.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynda Kirkland Harris; her son-in-law Carleton Harris; and her grandchildren, Will Harris, Corey and Juliet Sieland-Harris.
