She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe David Whelchel and Madge Grant Whelchel; her husband Jimmy Early; her brother John Whelchel; her brothers-in-law, Big John McMahan, Bill Hanson and Freddie Huckeba; and her niece Athena Huckeba.
She is survived by: her daughter Starr Elliott of Dawsonville; her sisters, Brenda Hanson of Dahlonega, Rhonda (Carl Stowers) and Carolyn McMahan of Sweetwater, TN.; her granddaughter Kennedy Norton of Dawsonville; and her nieces and nephews, Brandi, Josh Littlejohn, Lea and Lakota Littlejohn.
