She is survived by: her husband David Houston Butler; her children, Sherry Anderson of Atlanta, Michael (Jennifer Butler) and Matthew (Katie Butler); her brothers, Buzz (Robin Chappelear), Stormy (Becky Chappelear) and Phillip (Regina Chappelear); and her grandchildren, Wesley, Lauren, Josh, Brooke, Emily, Chase and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Nell's memory.
