It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Nola Burnette (Blairsville, Georgia), who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Brown and Cora Nix; her husband Hurvey Calvin Burnette; her siblings, Francis, Oble, Zeno, Clinton, Watsel Brown, Eileen Brown, Ruth Brown, Mamie Ruth Bagwell and Beva Jean Barnes; and her son Tony Foster.
She is survived by: her son Billy; her daughter-in-law Robin Burnette of Blairsville; her daughters, Mildred (Richard Harkins) and Teresa Jean Stanley of Jasper, GA.; her stepdaughter Pat Matthewson of Marietta; her sister Shirley; her brother-in-law Eugene Pope of Blairsville; her sisters, Dot Garrett of Hiawassee and Vassie Garrett of Hiawassee; her grandchildren, Terrell Foster, Shona (Burly Chester), Tim Stanley, Calvin Burnette, Clay Burnette, Joey Harkins and Angela Harkins; and her great grandchildren, Sydney, Lily Foster, Cole, Hailey, Jenna, Kaiya Harkins, Eli and Nola Chester.
