She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Salser and Emma Salser; her husband Jim Thompson; and her siblings, Charles Salser (Took), Lowell Salser, Grover Salser Jr. and Carol Birch.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Wright, Richard Thompson (Kim) and James "Marty" Martin Thompson (Mary); her siblings, Rosemary Evans (Clyde), Ronnie Salser (Cookie) and Carmen Price (Sam); her sister-in-law Betty Salser; and her grandchildren, Brian Wright (Adrianna), Adam Thompson (Louise), Michelle Hodges (Austin), Kevin Thompson (Eva) and Travis Oates. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Blairsville (41 Hunt Martin St, Blairsville, GA 30512).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Manon's honor to the Mountain Shelter Humane Society, 129 Bowling Gap Cir, Blairsville, GA 30512.
