He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Anderson and Jessie Sosebee Anderson; his son Johnny Lee Anderson; and his siblings, Grapell Brown, T. J. and Nelson Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mae Bingham Anderson of Blairsville; his children, Penny (Doug Warren), Pam (Johnny Hamler) and Stephen; his daughter-in-law Melissa Anderson of Blairsville; his sister Betty Lou King of Blairsville; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, John Spears, Andrew, Destiny Warren, Johnny, Emily Warren, Grace Warren and Jaxon Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
