She was predeceased by: her parents, Naaman Thomas and Sarah Norwood Thomas; her former husband Ronnie Frank Hughes; and her siblings, Edward Thomas, Kathy Arteaga, Evelyn Black and Vella Orr.
She is survived by: her son Cody Hughes of Blairsville; her fiancé Hugo Nieto Caundon of Blairsville; her siblings, Larry Thomas of Blue Ridge, Joe (Pearl Thomas), Nancy (James Frankenberg), Angela Tallant (George Watson) of Blue Ridge and Faye Duckworth of Blairsville; and her grandchildren, Jarvis Chesmore, Lily Duffer, Izaak Duffer and Izadora Duffer. She is also survived by fifty nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
