He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Bowman and Mary Bowman (Burks); and his children, Douglas Richard Bowman, Joseph David Bowman and Jennifer Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Bowman of Blairsville, GA; his son Jonathan Bowman of Canton, GA; his brother Harold Bowman of Melbourne, FL; his daughter-in-law Tammy Bowman of Arab, AL; and his grandchildren, Justin Butler, Christopher Butler, Lauren Bowman, Cody Walker, Wes Walker and Christina Walker. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
