He was predeceased by: his parents, Edley Burnett and Alvia MaHaffey Burnett; and his siblings, Brenda Sosebee, Alwaine Totherow, Wanda Brophy, Norma Jean George, Geral Burnette, David Burnette, Thomas Lee Burnett, Frank Burnette and Eugene Burnette.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Wilson Burnette; his daughters, Angela Burnette of Blairsville, Diana (Tracy Byers) and Cindy (Benny Christian); his grandson John Burnette II of Blairsville; his sister Bonnie; his brother-in-law Wayne Dills of Braselton, GA; his brother Junior; his sister-in-law Brenda Burnette of Blairsville; his grandchildren, Catrin Christian, Kelsey Patterson, Truett Patterson, Gavin Patterson, Miranda Burnette, Reagan Burnett, Gideon Burnett and Jesse Burnett; and his great grandchild Melanie Christian. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
