He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Retzlaff (Holmes) and Herbert Retzlaff; and his siblings, Stanley, Larry Grimes and Peggy Franklin (Grimes).
He is survived by: his wife Rita Grimes (Gagliano) of Blairsville; his children, Mike of Somerset, PA., Sherrie (Ralph) of Hyde Park, N. Y and John; his siblings, Mary Frances Grimes of Kansas and Thomas; his sister-in-law Sharon Grimes of Crystal River, Fla.; his grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Chad and Jennifer; and his great grandchildren, Anna, Ariana, Damien, Kyler and Caleb.
Flowers or plants are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union General Hospital care of Leslie Daniels in John's memory.
