John Earl Gibson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2020, at the age of 92, John Earl Gibson (Blairsville, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gibson and Nellie Elvira Brown Gibson; his son Joey Leon Buck; and his sister Ethel Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Gibson; his daughters, Kathy McKinney of Jackson, SC, Susie (Russ McKinney), Sherry (Dan Brandt) and Mary (Les Seaborn); his siblings, Harold (Odena Gibson) of Blairsville, GA, Buck Gibson of Blairsville, GA, Betty (Ed Taylor) of Blairsville, GA, Lilly Vee (Randall Adams) of Blairsville, GA and Aileen McCarther of Blairsville, GA; his siblings-in-law, Don Hensley of Stow, OH and Patty Handy of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his grandsons, Jason (Julie Metts), John Metts, Justin (Britni Mckinney), Cliff (Stephanie McKinney), Luke (Stacey McKinney), Josh (Jessica Young) and Brian Young. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; many other extended family, neighbors and friends.
