James Clyde Pruitt Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clyde Pruitt Jr. of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel James Clyde Pruitt, Sr. and Mary Bowie Pruitt; his former wife Onzell Pitts Pruitt; his siblings, Tom and Leora King; and his granddaughter Charity Hurd Jertberg.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Foster of Blairsville, GA.; his children, Dr. Jim Pruitt, III, Betsy Carpino of Pagosa Springs, CO, Baptist, Beth, Ric Hurd of Stockbridge, GA, Dr. Bruce and Melanie Pruitt of Watkinsville, GA; and his sisters, Marilyn Yglesia of Florida and Caroline Ransom of Florida. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
