She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Brooks and Sara Rose; and her son Phillip Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Charles Eskel Hughes of Blairsville; her children, Cindy England of Blairsville and Doug; her daughter-in-law Nancy Hughes of Blairsville; her sisters, Essie Daniel of Covington, GA. and Ella Carpenter of Blairsville; her grandchildren, Evan (Kembra Hughes), Kelly (Homer Helton), Caleb England and Chad England; and her great great grandchildren, Lily Helton, Kolby Hughes, Harley Helton and Kampton "Kamo" Hughes.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, the family requests social-distancing be followed as well as that anyone attending the funeral please wear a mask.
Flowers are accepted or if you wish the family requests that donations be made to New Union Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
