We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2021, at the age of 82, Glenn Leon Hamby of Blairsville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandson Bryan Scott Ritzert. He is survived by: his wife Joann Rich Hamby; his children, Royce Hamby (Sonya) and Teresa Hamby Ritzert (Bryan); his grandchildren, Nychole Thielbar, Amanda Shook, Paul Shook, Amber Carmichael, Joe Ritzert, Lacie Ritzert and Allie Whited; his great grandchildren, Payton Mays, Audrey Shook, Ella Shook, Amelia Shook, Copeland Carmichael, Conner Carmichael, Mason Thielbar and Charlotte Thielbar; and his siblings, Roy Hamby and Cheryl Hamby Williams (Richard).

Private family services are being planned due to the COVID 19 virus, and out of an abundance of concern for the community.

Donations may be made to Shady Grove Methodist Church or to your favorite charity in memory of Glenn.
