With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Julia Higgins of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on April 22, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Butts and Bertha Butts; her siblings, Reatha Dills, Claude Butts, Maude Brewer, Slyva Butts, Geraldine Goolsby, Estelle Butts and Clinton Butts; her sons, Anthony and Joey Higgins; and her stepchildren, Deborah, Judy and Larry.
She is survived by: her significant other Fred Barry Brown; her close friend Bill Hammonds; her stepchildren, Sandra, Jeff Lee of Dawsonville and Georgia; and her nieces and nephews, Vester, Linda Dills, Buck, Cricket Dills, Gale Loyd, Dale Butts, Kurt Butts, Susan Butts, Mechelle Loyd, Jerry Goolsby and Janie Dyer.
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in memory of Mrs. Higgins.
