He is survived by: his wife Rachel Payne Lance; his siblings, Champ Lance Jr., Bobby Lance (Janice), Larry Lance (Jo) and Shirley Shook (Darrel); his son Matthew Lance; and his stepson Chris Anderson (Amanda).
