With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Joe Lackey of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Young Harris, Georgia, who passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee Lackey and Shirley Edith Hedgecock Lackey; and his siblings, Sammy, Donald Lackey, Sarah Lackey, Reita Wright, Sue Dockery and Emma Lee Collum.
He is survived by: his sons, Travis (Justine Lackey), Weston (Tracye Lackey) and David Dockery of Blairsville; his brother Bruce; his sister-in-law Sue Hughes of Blairsville; his sister Jo; his brother-in-law Ray Ingram of Blairsville; and his grandchildren, Simon, Justin, Tristen and Sarenity Lackey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Gary's memory.
