With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary James Stephens of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Ducktown, Tennessee, who passed away on January 30, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jimmy J. Stephens and Madge Nicholson Stephens; his wife Leslie Pease Stephens of Blairsville; his daughter Laura; his son-in-law Dale Stanley; his son Gary Blaine Stephens of Blairsville; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Sharon Stephens; his sister Linda of Blairsville; his brother-in-law Michael Hitzing of Blairsville; his grandchildren, Colton Stanley and Kyndal Stanley; and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Reagan and Rylee. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Gary's memory.
