He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Everett Thompson and Dicie Simmons Thompson; and his siblings, Arlene, Louis, Forest, Thomas and Ted.
He is survived by: his wife Hedwig Janik Thompson of Blairsville; his daughter Heidi; his son-in-law Terry Conley of Ellijay; his son Thome Thompson of Blairsville; and his grandchildren, Mike, David, Jessica, Rachel, Terry Jr., Christie and Victoria. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
