He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Buchanan and Hazel Harkins Buchanan; his wife Lois Buchanan of Blairsville, GA; his children, Rachel Buchanan (Tracy Rochester) of Forsyth, GA, Jonathan Buchanan of Macon, GA and Austin (Chelsea Buchanan); his grandchildren, Jasmine Miley, Mathew Miley (Summer Walsh), Jessie Miley, Arwen Buchanan, Strider Buchanan and Kayleigh Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Marshall, Jaxon, Jason, Rosie and Henry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Mr. Buchanan's memory.
