She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Brooks and Sarah Rose; her husband Roy Able Carpenter; her siblings, Ronnie Lynn Brooks, Imogene Hughes, Emma Comstock and Doris Anderson; and her siblings-in-law, Wayne Daniel and Laura Chaney.
She is survived by: her children, Judy (Barry Hurst), Peggy Cochran of Stockbridge, Roy Max Carpenter of Blairsville and Roger Dale Carpenter of Blairsville; her sister Essie Daniel of Covington, GA.; and her brother-in-law Charles Hughes of Blairsville.
The family requests that masks be work if possible and social distancing be practiced at the cemetery.
