With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eileen Sommer of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 15, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband George Sommer; her daughter Sheryl Lynn Rooks; her siblings, Shirley and Leroy; and her parents, Charlie Logan and Marie Logan.

She is survived by: her spouse Navy; her sons, George Sommer (Debbie) of Blairsville, GA and Stephen Sommer (Terry) of Friendsville, TN.; her grandchildren, Wesley, Angela, Landon Sommer, Sarah, Jason and Rachel Rooks; and her great grandchildren, Eli, Trinity, Caleb, Caylee Pyrz, Sophia, Steve, Gabriel, Cameron Sommer, Rachelle and Jackson Totten.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Red Bird Mission of Beverly, KY.
