She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Rish and Irene Garrett; and her son Kenneth Nix. She is survived by: her husband Cecil Lee Nix of Blairsville; her children, Sandra Nix of Blairsville and Wayne; her daughters-in-law, Nancy Nix of Richmond Hill, GA. and Monica Nix of Byron, GA.; her siblings, Shirley Anthony of Hickory, NC. and W. E.; her sister-in-law Sue Rish of Macon, GA.; her grandchildren, Cecilia Nix, Kayla Nix, Taylor Nix and Tara Nix; and her great grandchild Emi. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homestead Hospice in Doris' memory.
