He is survived by: his wife Janice Jones Shattles of Blairsville; his daughter Layne; his son-in-law John Ward of Blairsville; his grandsons, Jeffrey (Renee Ward) and Andrew (Maddie Ward); his great grandchild Charlotte Ward; his brother Larry; and his sister-in-law Loretta Shattles of Sandy Springs, GA.
