He was predeceased by: his parents, Marty Chastain and Ethel Miller Chastain; his sons, Ivan and Adam Chastain; and his siblings, Clinton, Edward Chastain and Irene Buchanan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary McKinney Chastain of Blairsville; his son Dwight; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Chastain of Tucson, AZ.; his sisters, Judy Williams and Charlotte Webb of Murphy; and his grandchildren, Rochelle, Wesley, Stephanie Chastain, Derek and Kyle Harwood. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
