He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie; his wife Janice Collie; his siblings, John S. Collie, Jr. and Peggy Collie West; and his father John Siddle Collie, Sr..
He is survived by: his sons, James D. Collie (Cindy) and Christopher D. Collie (Mary Ann); his brother Bob R. Collie; and his grandchildren, Kayla Collie Simmons, Laurel Collie Smith, Avery J. Collie, Jabril Collie and Christopher Brown. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church Blairsville's youth program.
