He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Ray Groves and Wilma Jean Jones Groves; his wife Melinda Jones Groves; and his brother-in-law Brannon Jones. He is survived by: his sons, Dawson Ray Groves of Blairsville and Drake Curtis Groves of Blairsville; his brothers, Marty (Leslie Groves) and Ronnie (Debbie Groves); his siblings-in-law, Amy of Blairsville, Chad Rich of Blairsville and Leslie Jones; his nephews, Luther, Bubba Jones and Aaron Groves; and his niece Blair Foster. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Whitey's memory.
