He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Mason and Nellie Mason (Patterson); and his son Mitchell Chadwich Mason. He is survived by: his children, Charles D. Mason, Jr. (Angie), Sharon Denise Mason-Mayfield (Rodney), Clayton Dwayne Mason and Tammy Newsome; his brother Blake Mason (Jennie); and his nieces, Linda Lingerfelt and Connie Samples. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
