She was predeceased by: her partner Constance Berkes; and her brother Lee Sloan (California). She is survived by: her sister Theresa Irene Sloan (North Carolina); and also, Holly, Bonny, Daniel, Shelly and Nancy (Minnesota).

In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Appalachian Trail Society in Catherine's memory.
