He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Paul Collins and Irene Gibson Vandiver; and his grandson Steven Collins. He is survived by: his wife Retha Mae Duckworth-Collins; his stepchildren, Eddie Rogers of Cleveland and Charlene Collins of Gainesville; his sisters, Carolyn (John Corn), Vitta Mae (Wayne Dyer), Glenda (Reggie Flowers) and Marie (Don Collins); and his grandchildren, Adam Gable, Trisha Roberts, Melissa Davis, Windy Collins, Jonathan Collins and Jacob Duckworth. He is also survived by three brothers.
